Why is asking questions getting me a minus of five points, and answering gives me additional points...:-(?

Dont you feel there's a slight disparity in the points awarded for answering, since asking questions is an equally difficult proposition, and still precious points are reduced for asking questions.. Why is that? Can anybody tell me plssss?????
