Will Napalitano be able to stop Sheriff Joe from arresting illegals ?

This is somewhat of a reversal of the norm. In the better days (9 years back and earlier) the federal government would step in and take charge when local government was failing in their responsibilities. Bush allowed the immigration problem to get so far out of hand that local agencies had to take control of the problem. The nation owes a lot to the Arizona Sheriff who has taken the job on and for the success he has had in handling it. To bad more law enforcement managers can not do the same. Many law enforcement administrators are guilty of malfeasance of office by not enforcing the laws and by being selective about the laws they do enforce. How the get elected and remain in office is a mystery. They add to the problem when they turn their head or ignore what is happening; an old saying - when you byp a standard violated you set a new standard. The bad law enforcement officials in this country, those who ignore the problem, are a big part of the overall problem. I hope the sheriff stands his ground - If the feds can not handle the problem we will have to do it at the local level.
