Do you think he likes me? should i be more aggressive?

Ok, so i go snowboarding at this place in Colorado on all my winter breaks and weekends and this year i seen this boy i thought was cute. at first i really didn't pay much attention to it but i was on facebook one night and seen him as a mutual friend with my other friend bobby. So i requested him. when he accepted he asked me who i was and i said he just looked familiar and it was a random request and he asked if i snowboard at the place i go to in Colorado. after that the convo died and he didn't really seem interested. but lately we've been making eye contact alot and if we do i always look away quick because i don't wanna seem over obsessive or stalkerish. My friend that i snowboard with Katilyn tells me every time he walks by me he always stares me. do you think i should stare at him back maybe and smile? I don't know??
