Am i getting played or does he actually like me? (guys preferred)?

So i met this hot guy at a party my freshman year at college, not much came of it until my sopre year when we saw each other out and drunkenly hooked up. We didnt have or anything because i was a virgin but he seemed cool with that. I drove him home the next morning and he got my number and stuff but it was kind of awkward. He told me to text him, but i told him he should text me, but i wasnt gonna be the first one. NO TEXT OF COURSE! I was kinda whatever about it and i didnt see him out at the bars after that. Then one night like months later while im out in new orleans, he texts me "hey". We have a back and forth convo but the whole time i was bitchy because i was drunk and pissed that he never called after we hooked up the first time. The next day i brushed the whole thing off as him wanting a drunken hookup. But he ended up texting me two days later wanting to hang. I made up an excuse not to but he continued to ask every day that week (monday-wednesday), and i would say i was busy. Finally thursday night we were both out and drunk and i told him to come over later (stupid) but i ended up falling asleep and woke up to 6 missed calls because he was waiting outside my apartment. I promised we'd hang out the next day but i ended up sketching off and the same thing happened saturday. After that he kinda stopped trying, but then the next thursday we were both out and drunk again and ended up having at my place. But the next day was so different then the first time. We talked and laughed and when he left he told me to text him, and i was like "i guess" and he responded "wow you sound enthusiastic" and so i was like "ok i'll definitely text you" and we hugged and he left. Of course i didnt text him because i wanted him to do it first and when he didnt i was pissed. In all fairness he had left for the weekend for a baseball tournament but still. I ended up texting him the next night and he was kinda short with me. Idk, does he like me or am i just a call. Like i would definitely label this call except for the fact that he seriously tried to hang out with me for a whole week, and not after being drunk or wanting to sleep over. And what do you think about him always wanting me to text him first, is he insecure or what. I thought if a guy really liked you, he'd text you no matter what
